Edward P. Hoge, age 70, of Birchwood, WI died Friday, July 20, 2012 at his home. He was born on August 30, 1941 in Milwaukee, WI to Searice and Theresa (Langer) Hoge. Edward was married to Jeanette Schlaeger on November 16, 1963 in Franklin, WI. They owned and operated Spider Lake Resort from 1985 - 2004. Edward enjoyed flying and was a member of EAA-Chapter 631; was a member of the Birchwood Sportsman Club and was a hunting safety instructor. Edward was an active community member. Edward Hoge is survived by his wife, Jeanette Hoge of Birchwood, WI; 4 children, Peggy & Barry Bryan of Indianapolis, IN, Wayne Hoge of Naples, FL, Marcy & Kevin Morris of Oakdale, MN and Mary Ann & Bearkat Barrett of Haugen, WI; 11 grandchildren, Josiah, Gabriel, Nathan, Jonathan, Kennedy, Daniel E., Daniel K., Noelle, Maria, Joseph and baby Barrett; and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Searice and Theresa Hoge; and a sister, Valerie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 4:00 PM Monday, July 23, 2012 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Birchwood, WI. Visitation will be held from 1 - 4 PM Monday at the Church.
