SCHNEIDER, Laura A.
(March 6, 1924 - August 30, 2013)
Laura A. Schneider, age 89, of Rice Lake, died Friday August 30, 2013 at the Heritage Manor in Rice Lake, WI.

She was born on March 6, 1924 in Oak Grove Township, WI to Lawrence and Theresa (Willger) Prock. Laura was married to Victor Schneider on May 2, 1946 in Dobie, WI. She worked as a cook at the Country Inn in Rice Lake for over 30 years and also did home day care in her home for many families. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Catholic Order of Foresters, CCW (Council of Catholic Women) and the Rice Lake Moose Lodge. Laura loved to play cards, garden, cook, bake and fish.

Laura Schneider is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carol & Douglas Apfel of Waterloo, IA; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Allen & Beverly Schneider, Kenneth & Cindy Schneider and Pete & Jacqui Schneider all of Rice Lake, WI; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren; a sister, Angeline Prock of Rice Lake, WI; a sister-in-law, Frances Prock of Rice Lake, WI; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Schneider; her parents, Lawrence and Theresa Prock and a brother, John Prock.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake, Father James Powers officiating, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 PM Tuesday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for one hour prior to the service at the Church. There will be a Women of the Moose Service at 6:30 PM and a Wake Service at 6:45 PM Tuesday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals.
