ERICKSON, Jeanne
(July 16, 1929 - September 1, 2012)
Jeanne G. Erickson, age 83, of Rice Lake, WI passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Thomas Landing in Rice Lake surrounded by her family.

She was born July 16, 1929 in St. Paul, MN to Ephraim and Thea (Hofto) Thompson. Jeanne graduated from St. Paul Central High School in 1947 and she was also the homecoming queen of her class. On September 10, 1949 she was married to Arlen “Eric” Erickson in St. Paul, MN. Jeanne was a secretary for the Stillwater State Prison for a couple of years and was also a secretary for Intruder Inc. in Rice Lake for 8 years. She was a member of the Rice Lake Fortnightly, enjoyed music, playing the piano, reading and especially spending time with her family.

Jeanne Erickson is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sally & Dann Holter of Hudson, WI; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph & Julie Erickson of Rice Lake, WI; 7 grandchildren, Eric, Nicholas, Jennifer & Lucas Holter, Brad, Ali & Nina Luedtke; 2 brothers-in-law, Donald B. Johnson of Rice Lake, WI and Thomas Horsman of Minneapolis, MN; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlen “Eric” Erickson of 54 years in 2003; her parents, Ephraim & Thea Thompson; 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law, Berniece Johnson, Esther & Harold Peterson and Fritzy & Chuck Alexander; and a sister-in-law, Audrey Horsman.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Rice Lake, WI, Rev. John Mann officiating, with interment in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI. Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 PM Tuesday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for 1 hour prior to the service at the Church.
