Tod C. Books, age 71, of Rice Lake, WI died Sunday, August 19. 2012 at his home.
He was born on January 18, 1941 in Altoona, WI to Charles and Martha (Beckman) Books. Tod graduated from Altoona High School in 1959. He worked at a foundry, as a waiter, and then worked as a manager for Stewart and Allen Collections. Tod was married to Diana “Sue” Ernest on June 26, 1974 in Tucson, AZ. He was a hunter, fisherman, loved to mow the lawn, collect antiques and was an outdoorsman.
Tod Books is survived by his wife, Diana “Sue” Books of Rice Lake, WI; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian & Mindy Ernest of Tucson, AZ; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Cheryl & Danny Hogan of Aitkin, MN and Shelly Wilson of St. Paul, MN; 6 grandchildren; his mother, Martha Klawiter of Eau Claire, WI; a brother and sister-in-law, Jan & Linda Books of Kenosha, WI; many nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Books.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:30 AM Sunday, August 26, 2012 at his home - 2152 22 ½ Ave., Rice Lake, WI.
