BRUEGGEN, Lawrence H. (September 23, 1922 - August 16, 2012) Lawrence H. Brueggen, age 89, of Rice Lake, WI died Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Rice Lake Convalescent Center. He was born on September 23, 1922 in Cashton, WI to Martin and Theresa (Schreier) Brueggen. He moved to Oak Grove Township with his parents when he was 4 years old. Lawrence attended school at the Dobie Catholic School. He has farmed in Oak Grove Township all his life with his brother, Arnold. Lawrence Brueggen is survived by a brother and 2 sisters-in-law, Arnold & Aggie Brueggen and Gussie Sokup all of Rice Lake, WI; a nephew, Bob Brueggen of Rice Lake, WI; a niece, Janet (Joe) Barnes of Cameron, WI; 2 great-nephews, Jeff and Scott Brueggen and 2 great-nieces, Heather Herrman and Kaitlynn Barnes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Theresa Brueggen; and a brother, Norbert “Nubbs” Brueggen in 1979. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Dobie, WI, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery in Rice Lake, WI. Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 PM Friday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for 1 hour prior to the service at the Church. There will be a Wake Service at 7:00 PM Friday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals.
