SEVERSON, Erica
(May 6, 1923 - August 8, 2012)
Erica Severson, age 89, of Rice Lake, WI died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Heritage Manor in Rice Lake.

She was born on May 6, 1923 in Latvia, Germany to Carl and Martha (Krause) Blonk. Erica was married to Orlando Severson on June 6, 1942 in Louisville, KY. They farmed in Wickware, WI in Maple Grove Township for many years and she also worked at Mastercraft Industries for a number of years. Erica enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, knitting, croqueting and quilting. She was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and worked on many committees.

Erica Severson is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marlene & Norman Rohde of Rice Lake, WI; a son and daughter-in-law, Orlando “Jack” & Joyce Severson of Barron, WI; 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Blonk of Rice Lake, WI; a sister-in-law, Ardis Fostvedt of Manitowoc, WI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orlando Severson; a sister, Leila Johnson; and 3 brothers, William, Walter and Ewald Blonk.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Rice Lake, WI, Rev. Curtis Denney officiating, with interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 5:30 - 7:30 PM Thursday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals and for 1 hour prior to the service at the Church.
