Bernard Peter “Pete” Shaw, 84, formerly of Sarona, WI passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at his home in Panama City, FL. Pete was born in Chicago, IL, March 25, 1925 and has lived in Panama City for the last 10 years. He retired as an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance Company after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Lundquist Shaw, in 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Mary R. Shaw of Panama City, FL; his children, Carol Brown and husband, Jim of Dixon, IL; Bernie Shaw and wife, Durenda of Fountain, FL; Dave Shaw and wife, Rosslynn of Dixon, IL; his grandchildren, Melissa Coleman and husband, Bobby, Rebecca Shaw, Tim Shaw, Matthew Brown and Zachary Shaw; his great-grandchildren, Niklas Nystrom, Theoren Nystrom, Ethen Shaw, LeAnne Shaw, Hailey Shaw, Dylan Shaw and Gabi Shaw; a sister, Margaret Scholman and husband, William of Madison, WI; and nieces.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI. Family will receive friends beginning 10:00 AM until service time. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in Pete’s name may be made to the Hospice of Emerald Coast, 2925 Martin Luther King Blvd., Panama City, FL 32405.
