BROWN, Jim S. (May 24, 1936 - January 19, 2011) Jim S. Brown, age 74, of Cameron, WI died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at his home. Jim was born to Seymour and Gertrude (Stronski) Brown on May 24, 1936 in Winona, MN. Jim graduated from the Cotter High School at Winona in 1954. He was married to Judie Halterman on August 1, 1959 in Winona. Jim was manager for Nash’s in Winona, MN; JC Penney in Albert Lea, MN and Cedar Rapids, IA; Herberger’s in Rice Lake, WI and St. Paul, MN. Jim loved fishing and boating, cribbage, story telling and jokes. He had a special dog, Bailey. Jim Brown is survived by his wife, Judie Brown of Cameron, WI; a son, Jim Brown of Norwood Young America, MN; 3 daughters and a son-in-law, Joy & Howard Parson of Prattville, AL, Jan Bjurstrom of Johnston, IA and Jill Brown of Rice Lake, WI; 8 grandchildren, Jessica, Neil, Amanda, Lucas, Jamie, Chad, Chelsey and Gabrielle; 4 great-grandchildren, Trinity, Reese, Sophia and Carter; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Seymour and Gertrude Brown; and a sister, Joyce. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the Red Cedar Community Church in Rice Lake, WI, Rev. Craig Cooper officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 - 11 AM Saturday at the Church.
