JOHNSON, Ervin H.
(April 22, 1924 - April 9, 2010)
Ervin H. Johnson, age 85, born and raised in Rice Lake, WI, died Friday, April 9, 2010 at the home of his son, Dale (Connie) Johnson in Tacoma, WA of a massive heart attack.

He was born on April 22, 1924 in Rice Lake, WI to John “Edwin” and Anna (Nieman) Johnson. Ervin graduated from the Rice Lake High School and then entered the United States Army serving during World War II. On January 8, 1947 he was married to Marcetta Kahl and they lived in Rice Lake all their married life. Ervin was employed by and retired from Fehr Concrete in Rice Lake.

Ervin Johnson is survived by 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Dale & Connie Johnson of Tacoma, WA and Harvey Johnson of Rice Lake, WI; 3 grandchildren, Marla, Dale II and Marcetta; a sister, Virginia Stodola of Sarona, WI; many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcetta Johnson in 1976; a son, Roger Johnson in 1981; infant granddaughter, Pamela Jean; parents, Edwin and Anna Johnson, a brother, Allen “Bud” Johnson and a sister, Marion Quick.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI, Rev. Steve Svendsen officiating, with interment in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Rice Lake, where Military Rites will be accorded by the Rice Lake Veterans Center Honor Guard. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the Funeral Service.
